For over 30 years Murata has offered customers distinct Japanese tableware and gifts at a good value. Over this time we have seen more people in North America became interested in, and familiar with, Japanese culture - particularly with the Japanese food culture. This seems to be a natural movement to be found in a multicultural city like Vancouver. We do not want to be just an ordinary store selling Japanese tableware and gifts. We are hoping to better communicate with our customers by promoting the concept of “WA LIFESTYLE”, which brings you a feeling of warmth and peace in your life.

“WA (和) LIFESTYLE” is an essential concept for us - which is why it is reflected within our logo. WA describes feelings of harmony, peace, and softness. We aspire to create an environment where customers can feel at peace and in harmony through our traditional Japanese lifestyle items and our warm customer service derived from this concept.
